We welcomed the Hon. Minister Joseph Mizzi responsible of the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure who opened this year's ECS conference in Malta. This Ministry has generously co-sponsored this conference.
We also welcomed a contribution by the Hon. Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for the Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries portfolio.
Many experienced and world-wide reputed researchers contributed to the ECS Conference in Malta - March 2015. Various interesting and useful topics underpinning the conference theme of Marine Mammal Conservation: from local to global were presented.

The post-conference event on the 26th of March 2015 promoting conservation and marine science through the study of Marine Mammals for Malta University Students, MCAST, Sixth Forms and Youths was opened by the Hon.
