It is very easy to reach Madeira. There are direct flights from many cities in Europe to Madeira airport. In case there is not a direct flight from your city to Madeira there is a good chance of getting a connecting flight to Lisbon a from there catch one of many daily flights to Madeira Airport. If you are travelling from outside Europe you can travel to Madeira either through Lisbon, Oporto or through one of the main European cities with direct flights to Madeira.

Upon arrival at Madeira Airport there are several transport options to Funchal, the capital of Madeira:
- A regular bus passing by the airport. The ticket costs 3,5€. For more information click HERE
- An airport shuttle bus (Aerobus) connecting the airport to Funchal centre and the venue hotel area. There are buses leaving frequently and the one way ticket costs 5 € and a return ticket 8 €. For more information click HERE and for timetable click HERE

RESTAURANTS
Near the venue there are several typical and more touristic restaurants, sandwich bar and restaurants used by locals, serving pre-prepared meals for less than 10 €. The restaurant options increase in the city center at walking distance from the venue. Many restaurants have vegetarian options.
Do not forget trying some of our local traditional dishes such as the “espetada” (meat on laurel tree sticks), “peixe espada preto” (black scabbard fish) with banana and the delicious bolo-do-caco (local bread) with garlic butter.
