ECS mentoring program for students
For students, by students...
Following the 35th ECS student AGM meeting (Catania, Sicily), we are starting the first ECS Mentoring program for students !
Students who are attending the ECS Conference for the first time can be mentored by those who have previously attended ECS conference(s).
The objective of the program is to:
- Provide help to newcomers to navigate the ECS conference.
- Facilitate connections with peers in your research topic, but also with others from different regions and/or research topic.
- Build a supportive network to make the conference experience more inclusive and pleasant for both newcomers and "veterans".
- Encourage the assistance between newcomers and "veterans" in practising for their talks or poster presentations.
It is your first ECS and you wish to be mentored?
If it is your first ECS conference and you would like to be mentored, meaning that you want to meet new people and receive advice from previous ECS conference attendees, you can send an email to the student representative. He will put you in contact with mentors who, by sharing their experiences and information from past conferences, want to help newcomers like you!
You wish to “mentor” an ECS newcomer?
If you have already been to at least one ECS conference and you would like mentor a newcomer, simply check the "I want to mentor new ECS student attendees" box on the registration form. The student representative will put you in contact with the newcomers who want to receive help and advice from mentors like you, ensuring an even better ECS conference experience for all!
