TRAVEL TO PONTA DELGADA
There is only one airport in São Miguel Island - the João Paulo II airport. It is located less than a 15-minute drive from the city centre and has flight connections with several European and American cities. Additionally, several direct flights from Lisbon and Porto are scheduled every day with an average duration of 2:15h.

How to get around in the city?
In Ponta Delgada most places are within walking distance, nevertheless there is a minibus service. It is divided into four lines (A, B, C, and D), that cover the main residential and commercial areas, educational institutions, and various service zones throughout the Historic Centre of Ponta Delgada. Besides this, it also provides connections to the interurban transport routes on the island of São Miguel.
There is an app you can use to check where the buses are and routes: PDL MiniBus (Google Play) (Apple store).
